Downpayment Plus Program

What are the requirements of the program?

•  Income-qualified households within Illinois are eligible to receive up to $10,000 in downpayment and closing costs assistance to be used in  the purchase of owner-occupied one-family and two-family dwellings.

•  Occupy your new home for five years or sell to an income-eligible purchaser and the full amount of your grant will be fully forgiven.

•  To be eligible for the program, an applicant must have an aggregate annual household income that is 80% or less than the area median income. Income limits vary by area and household size.
